 FAQs

  • Yes! Your labor and delivery will be drastically different depending on where you have chosen care. For this reason, I have made different sets of classes for hospital births vs birthing centers and home births. This way, you get the best and most applicable information.

  • Instead of one long class, this series follows you through your pregnancy and early postpartum. Every session applies directly to the trimester you are in. The objective is education AND support. You can consider this a part of your prenatal and postpartum care.

It will take you step by step through your changing body, selecting your health care team, birth and labor plans, your breastfeeding goals, breastfeeding education, and early postpartum.

We’re not just teaching and learning, here. We’re building communities and support groups. Thus, the four class structure!

  • It’s important that you find prenatal care and education that best fits your needs. This course is right for you if you’re looking for a nontraditional class. You won’t be sitting and listening to me talk for hours and then going home just to forget the massive amounts of information I just threw at you. This class is interactive!

There will be education, activities, coaching sessions, and more. There will also be guided readings followed by meaningful discussions. The goal is to build the course around the group to meet your needs. Meanwhile, building a support group by surrounding you with other parents who share your guess date/month!

Natural and organic education, empowerment, and support!

  • Online classes are available at your convenience!

Group trimester specific classes are offered every three months. This means you may be in the beginning, middle, or end of your trimester during that month. You will follow that schedule for the other 3 classes, as well.

You’re welcomed to take classes whenever it works best for you! However, I do recommend you follow your pregnancy, accordingly, so the information best applies to where you are, now.

  • Don’t worry! Find your way to the contact page and send me an email! We have two options: we can set up a private class, or, if enough interest is expressed, a group class can be added to the schedule.

  • Yes! This is highly encouraged! Breastfeeding is more successful when partners and family are positively involved. We will also have several sections along the way that will help partners understand their role and how they can support you.

Is your support person someone other than a partner? Mom, sister, grandma, friend? They are also welcomed.

  • Payment is accepted through venmo @milkandgranola, square app electronic payment, or cash/check upon arrival. All classes are a suggested donation of $1-20

  • At this time, I am unable to bill insurance, but I really hope that changes! Because of this, I have made all classes donation based.

For consultation support, discounts are offered for those who meet certain criteria: income level, WIC recipient, single-parent status, unemployment recipient, disability benefit recipient, etc. Please send an email if you’d like more information.

  • Trade and barter is how the world goes round! Please send me an email on the contact page and we can explore the option!
